This is a playful quiz. It asks about your preferences and temperament and matches them to a colour. It does not measure anything paranormal, and the concept of an aura as a literal energy field is not something science supports. What we are doing is using the colour-personality associations that exist across cultures — red for intensity, blue for calm, green for groundedness, gold for warmth, violet for intuition — and translating your answers into one.

The colour psychology side is real enough. Research on colour associations shows that many of these links are remarkably consistent across cultures, likely because they tie into shared experiences — the sky, fire, growth, the sun. People really do tend to pick colours that feel like their personality, and those choices are weakly predictable from other personality measures.

About four minutes. Have fun with the result. Do not build a spiritual practice around it.

What this quiz measures

Five sets of preferences that map onto five colour archetypes. Red captures intensity, passion, directness. Blue captures calm, steadiness, reflection. Green captures groundedness, practicality, warmth. Gold captures sociability, optimism, generosity. Violet captures introspection, creativity, intuition.

The dimensions are not independent — you can lean into two or three at once — and your result archetype reflects the strongest combination. The mapping from preferences to colour is based on the folk-psychology associations between colour and temperament, which are surprisingly consistent across cultures but absolutely not something anybody has validated in a laboratory.

Frequently Asked Questions

There is no scientific evidence for literal auras as energy fields that can be measured or photographed. The Kirlian photography that supposedly captures auras is just a visual effect caused by electrical discharge. The quiz uses aura as a metaphor for temperament-colour associations, not as a claim about paranormal phenomena.
By mapping your answers to preference dimensions — intensity vs calm, sociable vs reflective, grounded vs dreamy — and then matching the strongest combinations to the colour most associated with that temperament in traditional colour psychology.
Red leans intense and direct. Blue leans calm and reflective. Green leans grounded and practical. Gold leans warm, sociable, optimistic. Violet leans introspective and creative. The labels are shorthand; your actual score is more like a five-dimensional profile than a single colour.
No, and it does not claim to be. Colour-personality associations are cross-culturally consistent enough to be interesting, but the mapping from your answers to "your aura" is playful pattern-matching, not measurement. Enjoy it in that spirit.
In the metaphorical sense we are using, yes — your preferences shift with mood, context, and life stage, so a retake in six months might land you on a different colour. Whether this reflects anything beyond your mood that day is a question the quiz cannot answer.
Take it as a playful mirror. If the colour description resonates with how you see yourself, that is a signal that your self-image and the quiz's scenarios aligned well. If it does not, it might just mean the scenarios missed what makes you specifically you. Either way, this is a fun quiz, not a spiritual assessment.
